Hello everyone! I’m new to the snuff community but, at 26, I’ve been a smoker for 20 years. I’m receiving a package soon from Toque and I’ve been excited to jump in.

I’m not new to powders in the nose, if you catch my drift. I don’t think the sting/burn will bother me, but I do have questions about the nicotine delivery intranasally.

How long does a buzz last with the first snuff of the morning for you all?

Also, how does the buzz differ from a cigarette/cigar/pipe? Is it at all similar to a snus buzz?

Also, I’m sort of a hippy, so I was interested in blends that have a floral, “incensy” flavor. Any suggestions? If there was a snuff with patchouli, I would likely live off the stuff.

Thank you all in advance! Hope you’re all having a great weekend.

I’ve been a smoker for 10* years! Must have slipped on the keyboard.

Buzz varies but but I find 5-10 minutes usually.

If you like floral, all of the Toque flowers are good, I have them all.  I like violet the most initially, but now I think the rose and lavender are better.  You can mix them up and make combos, all I’ve tried I like.

Wilson’s of Sharrow Jocky club is a nice floral, though I don’t see it on the Toquesnuff site right now.

    Welcome to the world snuffer.

It sounds like you would enjoy a lot of Indian snuffs. I’d recommend Himtaj, 6 Photo Special Snuff, and Punjabi Janta for that incensy flavor. There are others but those would be at the top of my list. I’d be happy to send you a small sampler if you live in the states.

I’m not the man to ask about nicotine buzz because I haven’t felt that since I was about 13. Instead I find that the satisfaction comes from the variety. I have a snuff for every mood, every type of weather or time of day. Different grinds and moisture levels scratch different itches. Sometimes you want a gentle, flowery snuff but sometimes you want to be kicked in the face.

F&T has lots of old timey florals, including patchouli:
