    Okay, someone has to go first.  I realise a 14th centuary book of short stories might not be everyones cup of tea, but I loved it.  I am also keen to read either of the two modern authors.

    FIRST PERSON SINGULAR by HARUKI MURAKAMI or THE CANTERBURY TALES  by GEOFFREY CHAUCER or MACHINES LIKE ME by IAN MCEWAN
