I can’t pretend I’m new to snuffing. I started it back in 2012 when I took up the pipe. I started both in an attempt to give up the fags but also because I enjoy tobacco in all its forms. I kept up the pipe and managed to push cigarettes out of my life apart from when having a drink. Well, in a new push to kick them completely, I have decided to go back to snuffing after a 5 or 6 year break.

Last night was the first test. Could I get through a night on the beer without a smoke and just the snuff? Well, I did. I won’t pretend it was easy. The first two hours were tough actually. But, after that, it was okay and more to the point, I had forgotten how much I enjoyed this product and how much nicotine I got from it. Much more pleasurable than those non-tobacco pharma pouches pretending to be Snus.

I bought a few tins from here the other day. Grapefruit, Quit, an old favourite called Spanish Gem and its counterpart, Ambrosia. Whisky and Honey, Bubblegum and Otto Schmalzler. I enjoy them all but I wish I had bought a few more traditional and straight varieties. Something I will correct on my next order.

Anyway, can’t fault the service/delivery. Arrived in short order to South Wales.

It’s really rather wonderful that snuff is still a thing. I used to go metal detecting when I was a kid and used to find old Victorian snuff boxes. I wish I still had them. I intend to enjoy it before the tyrant authoritarians remove even this benign avenue of pleasure.
