    Firstly let me say that I really enjoy this snuff and have ordered it several times. In fact I’ve had to take a break from menthols the fast few days and have just finished off a 25g tin. Starting with a positive in case my next comment is perceived as negative. Reviewing this as a “Peanut butter” snuff, there is definitely something missing. To my nose it’s the buttery, clinging sweet aspect of peanut butter that I don’t get. I’m a peanut butter fiend and the snuff doesn’t hit the mark in terms of a direct comparison. That said, I love the base Toque flour. The snuff is really easy to take and sits in the nose with a great nutty scent. Fabulous with a coffee and will always be in my rotation. Would definitely recommend.

    GlasgowSnuff, You are, with the nome de plume Glasgowsnuff,  the last person I would have expected to be a Peanut butter aficionado. I would be looking to America for that. Can I ask is it the buttery feel that you are missing?

    I see what Glasgow is saying.  It definitely comes off as more of a peanut flavor as opposed to peanut butter.
    That said, it’s great.

    Oh, and on the peanut point. Yes, I am inclined to agree with you both.  We are working on a new American range and it is going to be more peanut oil/butter.

    Thanks Roderick, nice to be back.  I actually just got home from my work rotation.  My last big order showed up right after I left so it was waiting for me and now I’m in nicotine OD mode tasting new snuffs.
    So far Toque Ambrosia is AWESOME as is Bernard’s Fresco.

    I had a tin a year or two ago that smelled a little musty.  I lightly oiled it with Sweet Almond oil which is pretty unscented and it became wonderful.  The peanut butter scent became stronger and lasted longer.

    Only taken seven months to answer, apologies. Decided to check out the forum again after a wee hiatus. Even as a Glaswegian I’m no stranger to a bit of peanut butter and jam (jelly for our American friends) on my good Scottish plain bread. This for me is a 4/5 snuff and I always have a tin in my collection. I think to make this a 5/5 it is that sweetness that’s missing. If it helps, to me it’s the note I get from silver dollar coffee which is a 5/5. There is something in that snuff, maybe a dairy ish undertone that I love.
