My recent Toque order included a can of Almond Toast, which I’ve tried and enjoyed before. I still love it! But I can’t help but wonder: how would the almond flavor be in a buttery schmalzler? My only criticism of the toast is that the scent only lasts a few seconds before fading. A schmalzler would allow the flavor to last longer while complementing the almond flavor with both butter and the sweet schmalzler base flour.
Anyway, Almond Toast is another great Toque favorite I wanted to give a shout out too! Thanks again, Roderick and company!!
I also like the Almond Toast snuff very much, and like you, I find that the scent disappears very quickly (And it is a bit fine for me, it often goes too far).
Never thought about an Almond schmalzler, but I find it is a nice idea !
I like this one for sure
