I’ve been testing Artisan Ficus Rappee over the last 3 weeks as im not the neatest person in the world when it comes to using any rappee. I did the pinch method, i did the spoon method but I just went ahead and used it bridgette style, the pick it up and ram the thumb into the nostril method 🤣im not the neatest when it comes to my rappee collection for a girl as I always end up with a fallout, more ends up on my shirt than where its meant to be snuggled up in my nose burrows 😁 As I crack the lid on the tin im greeted by a warm delicious scent of darkly fermented base flour typical of the rappee style of curing and fermentation of the leaf 🍃 then a rich deep fruity aroma wafts over the mixture giving this a distinct smell of purple ripened figs. I love eating figs with their perfumed taste whilst nibbling on a good cheddar cheese 🧀 The base is packed with good deep rich rappee flavour and there’s plenty of moisture making it abit sticky in texture. The fruit is decandant syrupy fig that compliments the base flour rather than domineer. Not the easiest to use as you have to either sniff with some force or resort to using a spoon or even a thumb but once it’s in place all these beautiful aromas blend together making quite a creative symphony.
