    I am really new to the world of snuff, so I’ve been watching some content on YouTube from Simply Snuff! really funny and insightful guy.  He always makes a point to have a handkerchief and a snuff paddle, which makes me have two questions:

    1. Handkerchief – what makes this superior to paper Kleenex?  My mom heard I was going to buy a handkerchief (but not knowing it was for snuff) and guilted me with stories of my grandma washing out snot from handkerchiefs in the orphanage she was in.  But she’s not thinking in terms of snuff, more snot.

     

    2. Paddles – is there a good and readily available source for something suitable for this?  Doesn’t have to be fancy.  I’ve used a knife and screwdriver head and they work ok, but kind of weird to take with you on the go.

    Here’s my preferred method.  I got 3 on Ebay a while ago and liked them so much, I bought a 10 pack on aliexpress.  Go to Ebay and type snuff spoon.
    the spoon is really big, so you have to be careful unless you want a huge blast.  I just dip the tip in the snuff, then tap it once and blast away.

    I used a jeweler’s flat head screwdriver for about the 1st 6 months of snuffing.  I use a pocket knife once in a while because I always have one on me, just keep the sharp edge away from your face.

     

    As far as hankies go, I think it’s just for environmental concerns.  I’ll use paper napkins when I’m out and about sometimes, but I’m a biker, so I’ve always had a lot of bandanas around.  I’ll use one for a couple of days then just throw them in the laundry pile, then into the washer when I wash clothes once a week and a half or so.

    The wooden hot beverage stirrers out of cafes. And fast food outlets .  Make great snuff paddles for free . Grab as many as you need

    Oh, I ended up finding some paddles at Walmart, they are technically BBQ skewers, I just make them shorter by cutting them and then sand them off.  I bought one package and it had MANY, the only annoyance is making new ones but they are excellent for the task.

    For a paddle I use 2″ lollipop sticks which I bought from Amazon. I use toilet roll and a handkerchief.

    I’ve always pinched but recently tried a paddle, well a turtle shell spade to be correct, and I honestly didn’t notice a difference.

    I don’t know what is supposed to be wrong with washing hankies, but simply put, I like to use hankie on the go only to wipe down front drip to look clean, and spit out back drip wherever and whenever I can. When I’m home I like to use tissues, Kleenex, paper towels, napkins whatever I want and then I can use that for front drip, spitting back drip, or even deep cleaning my nostrils. Hankies are just only convenient when outside imho.
