    Hey all!

    I was just curious and wondering how many of you use snuff daily/regularly (and i mean several times a day) without using any other type of tobacco or nicotine product?

    I still use snus, between 1-5 a day.  If I do nothing but snuff, I usually will wind up clogged.  Some days I go really easy on the snuff, especially this time of year because of allergies, so I’ll do more snus.

    Winter I’ll do more snuff and just a little snus, 1 or 2 a day.

    I still smoke about 10 or so cigars a year too.  Usually while BBQing or on vacation.

    I’m very much the same (including the allergies😕. Only difference I would alternate with snus only about 3 months of the year, rest of the time I alternate my snuff with cigarettes. The clogging is the big let down…

    @serafin26 I quit smoking long ago, and only use snuff for my nic desires. All day every day. Some snuffs clog me up, and some don’t. Virtually all of the coarse grinds, schmalzlers and other oiled snuffs stick to my intake tubes, so I only enjoy those once in a while (a few times a day). Also, any florals; the F&Ts in particular close me up a bit. Menthols (like Hedges) are a blast, but usually open the passages for a bit then the holes close up. The easiest I’ve found are the fine grind SP snuffs. MacChrystal’s Smokers Blend is quite nice. J&H Top Mill No. 1 is an easy toast. And my favorite, WoS Gold Label, seems to magically disappear and never clogs. And don’t sleep on the Toque USA Whiskey and Honey. There’s a reason it’s their best seller.

    Totally understand you. I’ve “learnt from my mistakes”. I used to insufflate quite a bit of German products, but the last 2 months I rediscovered SPs. So I don’t really have the problem anymore. Just like you I only have my German favs (some Rosinskis and Pfalzer) a few times a day, generally after meals. The rest of the day I have bergamot/citrus flavoured snuffs (in my rotation these days: WoS best SP, Toque original, Toque Berwick brown, Gawith Hoggarth SP). Also I’m kind of lucky because I don’t really like menthol. So the only mentholated snuffs I ever take is Gawith Original, Alpina and Kloster Andechs. And I learnt to use these sparingly to avoid the rebound effect, to which I’m particularly sensitive. Thank you for your recommendations and keep enjoying your snuff!

    I do like the Gawith SP. Good tobacco base. Never tried the Rosinski, but I’ve heard so many good things I’ll have order an assortment.

    Yes Rosinski make great snuff and their range includes interesting products like old traditional style (green snuff) or use of unique local cultivars.

    I haven’t smoked for 30+ years, though I had been a 3-pack a day chimney. (Yes, that was a Very cold turkey!) I started using snuff at a doctor’s recommendation when I was diagnosed with early stage Parkinson’s to get small micro doses of nicotine to help limit mental decline. I resisted for a few years but finally gave in and stated about six months ago. I’ll admit that I still don’t know much, but I’ve been trying what I can. Some days I’ll snuff all day, (10+) others I go light, (2-6) and about once a week I’ll go without altogether. I almost never feel clogged, and if I do I’ll snuff a pinch of methol to open up, (McCrystal’s or Gawith) though I can’t say I’m really a menthol guy but my first winter with snuff may lead me to it. I’m in the U.S. and ordering from abroad has been challenging, but I am having fun with it.
