    <p style=”text-align: left;”>Hey all, I just received my first package of snuff and I’ve been shoveling piles of tobacco up my nose since they arrived. My order was a short one (WoS Africa, Black Rappee, WoS Blonde, WoS Grove).
    I haven’t tried snuff before, and something definitely differed about the nicotine experience vs. smoking cigarettes, cigars, pipes, chew, etc.

    I noticed that, as soon as I sat down to relax, my senses, particularly my hearing, were substantially heightened. I’m sure everyone knows what I mean when I mention the meditative “calm” that comes with a tobacco buzz, but I felt it on a whole other level with snuff.

    I was hoping someone might give some tips on how to use snuff as cleanly as possible, without it getting all over my clothes & such. I really made quite a mess day one!

    Welcome to the joy of snuff.  I have been snuffing off more years than I care to remember, and I still get the odd spot of snuff down my front.

    The best technique to avoid mess is the wet finger. Lick your finger dip it in your snuff and rather than sniff, apply it to your nose.  But you don’t want to do this in public.  The second best is lick the back of your hand, put a pea sized pinch on the wet bit and then cover it with one nostril, sniff and brush anything left on your hand with a handkerchief.

    <p style=”text-align: left;”>Thank you Roderick, I didn’t think to wet the surface I’d snuff from, but I’ll be sure to try those methods. I definitely won’t stick a tobacco covered finger up the nose in public. Here in the Western USA, that would definitely not fly! Cheers.

    Enjoy the new world of snuff.
    My suggestion is cast a wide net.  Try a lot of flavors and see what you like.  Keep some of the flavors you don’t like (I store them in my basement in an airtight container) and try them a year from now because you will find your tastes change a little.

    It’s an awesome experience.
