Which snuff should I start with?
I’d go with German oiled snuffs. They are so easy for a beginner. Schmalzlers are the most oiled and easiest to take. As you learn how to hold snuff in your nose you can progress to drier snuffs.
I would recommend anything from poschl, especially their fruit flavors like raspberry.
They are easier to take than a lot of snuffs, and good for learning your ‘technique’.
After that, move on to the much wider world of snuff waiting for you to explore
Gawith Original I think is the easiest I’ve had. I agree with the anything from poschl as leman said. Also any of the Otto line are nice and easy on the nose.
Honestly I suggest a variety of grinds and moisture content because what works for others might not work for you, and just don’t forget that what works for you may change over time. My nose doesn’t get on so well with many of the coarser moister types mentioned here for example (though I really love the aromas), because I get irritated, front and back drip and so on. So I tend to stick to mostly the medium-fine end of the spectrum. Been much happier here, though you’ll need to get your preferred method down as you get used to it.
