Not sure if you’re joking or not, mate. I sure hope you are.

I’m enjoying that one as well but I find I can only have so much of it much of it in the same way that I can only have so much of a rich desert but I’m finding it one of the more satisfying ones in the nicotine department which is something Grapefruit seems weak on. I think this is why I go off Grapefruit come lunchtime and move on to something with a little more punch.

Someone will probably tell me that there is more nicotine in grapefruit than whisky and honey now. Funny how people perceive nicotine. I have seen someone claim that Otto Schmalzler doesn’t have much but I find it very satisfying in that department. Easily around Whisky and Honey leveles which they also said is quite high. Go figure.

I too have slowed down a lot for a few reasons. Not least of which is the absurd cost thanks to miserable grabbing tyrants. I tend to do it mostly when fishing in the summer, now.

I tend not to smoke this time of year because I don’t smoke indoors but I simply can’t help smoking cigarettes when I have a drink which is why I have gone back to snuff. Not only did I forget how much I enjoyed it but it’s really working for me. Especially this Otto Schmalzler. There is something about this stuff that gives me the same satisfaction as a dark-fired Kentucky blend and it’s keeping me off the fags when I’m having a few beers or a scotch. I’m bloody loving the stuff.

I really want to try more of these schmalzlers, especially rich dark fruity ones like this. However, with the news they are all vanishing I’m rather afraid to get a taste for them and I’m in no financial position to stockpile the stuff at the moment. They also seem to be out of stock everywhere anyway.

I’m rather sick of bureaucrats taking all my little pleasures away from me one by one, to be honest.

Oh, that’s not so bad then. I can’t see mine lasting that long.

It may keep some scent but does it keep that acidic zip, if you get my meaning?

Indeed, I am on that forum but I have not visited for quite some time. No particular reason for it, it just hasn’t occurred to me.

How fast? I have had the tin for nearly a week now and it’s still pretty grapefruit-like to me. How long have I got before it becomes lesser?

How thoroughly depressing and absolutely no surprise that the shameful yet shameless and despicable EU bureaucrats are at the root of it.

Thanks for the heads up, It reorganises my purchasing priorities. I will research the names you mention and see if I can find something that tickles my fancy as well as my nose.

    Any recommendations?

I knew there must be a story behind this somewhere. Thanks for telling it.

Speaking of cinema ushers trays…. whatever happened to the dolly bird that used to come to stand at the front of the theatre with her tray full of goodies during the intermission? The pictures used to be so much better. Most things did. Perhaps I’m just getting old.

I think you’re right. I have only been back on the snuff for a few days after a break for a few years but out of all the tins I have bought I find there is one or two I’m reaching for more and more.

It’s the same with pipe tobacco for me.
