Dinged $120 in duties….Booooooooo
Sorry to hear that, Snuffual. Man things are crazy now. From 2014 to 2021 I ordered so many tins and bulk bags from Toque and NOT ONE of my orders got hit. I never imagined it would end up like this…
Yeah, oh well. The good news is I finally got my haul today! I’m sniffin up a storm, lol. So on the next order, do I just refuse to pay the duties and then they won’t bother me after that?
I was just hit with a 267% tax bill on my package. It’s still on the way and I plan on getting it reassessed (<— magical thinking)
I’m curious how the tax situation is going for other Canadians?
It’s a silly country.
<p style=”text-align: left;”>I have a 99 gram order slated to arrive in a few days, and CBSA wants $77. My last order was dinged about the same per gram. Ridiculous, but honestly, still a bargain compared to buying locally, where it’s about $40 for 17.5g of McChrystals!
Has anyone had any luck recently with rejecting and re-ordering?
If it is any help this link https://smoke-free.ca/SUAP/2020/taxrates-oral.pdf is the only thing they have for smokeless tobacco tax. couldn’t find it on any Canadian Govt. sites. Just scroll down to page 2.
