    I’ve stated twice I have no loyalty to Trump, not that I owed you that explanation. I have great respect for the Japanese people. That ends when they come to my country and tell me where I do or do not belong, or who we have to blindly submit fealty of our markets to, as it would with any person. If you expect sympathy for the shape of your face you will not find it from me, and from very few other places, this game is coming to an end. You cry as some victim of protectionism (enacted by the country you claim as your own), when so many other countries and organizations use this to a FAR greater extent than the United States. Your alleged ideological allegiances are clearly exposed as nothing but contempt for the people who provided you everything you enjoy.

    You people worship mediocrity, or perhaps something even worse, I suspect, but I will leave that for a different battle field.

    “every tiny little thing has to be meticulously coded, calculated, and paid for” You have never step foot into the real world if you think just one more set of variables is a valid reason to shut down an entire system. There are tens of thousands of pages of code and shipping regulations between all of the relevant governing bodies to ship tobacco from the UK into the US. And it wasn’t even changed, the required infrastructure, forms, communication channels, etc, were already established and in place.

    But that even doesn’t matter – because in this particular example, as we have established, this problem does not extend equally to all isle of mann snuff businesses. If it were Trumps fault, how could you make sense of that in your head? No one could POSSIBLY be to blame except Trump? Again, I don’t even like him, but you are just running interference for the incompetence or malevolence responsible.

    Do you really expect to sit here and tell me – that this could not have handled gracefully? There was NOTHING that ANYONE could have done, except for Trump?

     

    A UK man whose country is being destroyed by anti-english bureaucracy, blaming everyone but, a chinese man pretending to be American telling me how ashamed I should be of my country, for a 10% tariff. Ridiculous. Piss off, have some pride in yourselves

    You can’t even run your snuff business in your own country because of your laws. When I could order directly from Sweden, my orders took two days to Michigan. I have not once ever had a smooth order from anywhere in the UK.

    I have no love for Trump, or really, any interest in anything from this place other than my snuff, but to act as if it’s reasonable to expect this outcome from a 10% tariff is silly.

    To expect from one of the most developed nations in the world, the genesis of most of the first world, to be entirely unable to fill out some forms, ship a package, write a check, as normal, or justified because you happen to disagree with a tariff. Everything is tariffed. Everything has always been tariffed.

    I have a bit of snuff that I don’t even need on the line, your lively hood is on the line, isn’t it? Maybe the DHL are complete morons, the UK government or the royal mail self-destructive loonies, or the US customs incompetent lazy losers, but it should not take 2 months to make such a small change. To pretend that isn’t even the case hurts you and those in your industry and country

    No replacement for the toque product line, I had actually ordered some artisan and otto to give a try right before shipping went down

    That’s rough, I would be more worried by that, than not having it shipped at all.

    I can’t help but imagine the nauseating bureaucracy and involved with the whole deal
