Thank you Roderick. That was exactly the minutia I was after. Probably lost on many, but for me it adds very much to the enjoyment of the products.

Cigars were a previous passion. Loved when blenders would share details of how they came up with the magic filler, binder, wrapper, and finished rolled shape  combinations that ultimately became a new line of cigars unique from many others that existed before it.

With all the bias toward the negative assaulting us daily, it’s always nice to see things like this. Both sides doing the right thing. Bravo.

Bourbon Spice Roll in a snuff format would be most welcome. A vanilla glazed roll with cinnamon, spice, and an oaky bite of bourbon.

I do have a tin of Toque Pumpkin Pie on the latest eagle so perhaps my itch will be scratched by that.

While newly introduced to the on-line snuff community, I’m not all surprised by this. I’ve seen it play out time and time again in forums I’ve participated in for other hobbies. While not up to speed on the specifics of the Bernard’s Reddit exchange, I did see your post about it on FB.

Unfortunately, sometimes the concept of a “rising tide lifts all boats” is lost on some that only understand “complete global domination all all costs”. Sad really as I was starting to enjoy the spiderweb of content, friendliness, information, and support as I connected the dots with FB, YouTube, Reddit, and this forum.

I very much enjoy forums like this. As an older person, having the ability to modify font on the forum would be most welcome. The default is very washed out and difficult to read. Resizing helped, but it’s very much on the pale side for my tastes.

Eagle has landed. Just a day short of a month, which is fine. I thought for sure I had Prince’s on the order, but I think I cut it as I didn’t want to go too crazy on my first order.

I really want to see how Bourbon and Coke mix together, but will try them individually first. In my early 60’s, but it feels like Christmas morning as a kid again.

I found the Otto brand has oiled in the description. Only one so far.

Aside from the brand Ozona, how would one tell if a variety of snuff is oiled? For example, are any or all of the Toque snuffs oiled? I believe one of my first snuff experiences was Ozona but that was back in 1982 or so.

I also enjoy pipes and cigars. If you aren’t big into cased pipe tobacco and infused/flavored cigars, you may want to stay with basic snuff that doesn’t include a lot of extra enhancements. For sure it’s worth your time to read the descriptions before buying the smallest sample tin to try. Wilson’s Plain for example might be a good one to try as it’s free of tobacco enhancements. New to Toque, but Natural and Natural Toast seem similar. Just a thought. With so many flavors out there it’s easy to go crazy wanting to try them all. Have fun with it.

As a pipe smoker, I’ve heard about some folks sprinkling a little snuff on their bowl of tobacco for an extra kick. Maybe I’ll try it one day.
