Hey Roderick, the order with 2 Coke was [Order #37236]. I think I might have had one in the basket from before and ordered another one and didn’t see that I had two, but it was still a surprise when I opened the package.

I also did [Order #38203] which had the 3 Jip!  I think something similar happened, but I did want a few tins anyway. I also did [Order #38414] but in that case I meant to order several Red Bull tap tins as I wanted to stock up.

oh, and Gmail is now warning me about every email from sales@toquesnuff.com as potentially dangerous.  I will include a picture. It says that Google couldn’t verify it came from your site, maybe something is misconfigured on your mail server?  It started in between the 6th of August and the 8th, as the email on the 6th didn’t have this message but the ones on and after the 8th did.

Hey Roderick, just wanted to let you know about a strange thing when ordering multiples of something.  I might have just made a mistake, and added them twice (I got two Toque Coke which worked out since I need 2:1 coke:vanila but surprised me, it was correct on the order), but I just checked my order and I think I meant to order 2 Jip!, but to my surprise, I ended up ordering 3?  Maybe I forgot I ordered three, I did it late at night and it’s not like it’s a bad thing I need to stock up on the Jip! just wondering if I’m just being careless or if there might be something going on?

Anyway, it all worked out and I’ll just be careful when finalizing an order.  They have been coming through very good through customs, I think the first one got detected with a Bullet inside (Toque Natural Toast, very good ordered a tin!) so I had to pay a $30 fee for customs and the next two got through no problem (all sealed tins, one had a tap tin that was sealed quite well as it was Poshl).

Thanks for everything!  Wishing you a lot of success!

Glad to hear it!  I just got my order in the mailbox today (no customs charge this time, maybe because they were all tins or sealed dosers/tap tins instead of having a bullet included).  Took 17 days (around there, depending how you measure due to time difference) to get to Western Canada.  Boy was I happy to see the Isle of Man airmail sticker today.  Thanks Roderick!

I ended up spilling a fair bit of it (sadface) which is really too bad since it really grew on me over time and is slowly running out.  I’d definitely give it a shot if I were you (and like SPs and/or Wintergreen) especially if it is on sale.

Good call, I was thinking it would be a small ratio, since you add just a tiny amount of vanilla extract (or fake extract) (less than a teaspoon) to a half a can of coca cola drink.

    Thanks for the input JetfixerJason!

Very interesting, thanks for sharing. I wonder if I should look into getting some of this, along with a vanilla one to mix a slight amount in.  I do love Vanilla Coke when it is available.

Only tried Red Bull so far and it’s an early favorite…WOW. really announces itself. might have to go with Otto’s version if it remains out of stock. Thanks for the interesting update.

I just got one in an order placed a month ago. I know you can find unfilled bullets on sites like AliExpress (direct from China) or even Amazon (might be faster shipping but cost more).

I only got the one and it’s useful but it was packed pretty tightly.  Had to take some out and stir before it worked well enough for my purpose. Might just be the type, since the other toast type I have doesn’t really announce itself.

I too like SPs, I got the Snubie Wintergreen SP and it’s pretty nice, but I REALLY like the other SP I got, the John and Henry Wilson SP No. 1. I found out I’m not a fan so much of the 5G tap tins circles so looking for more regular tins next order.

Was interested in this.  Good to know that freezers are not recommended, I used to put snus in them (sealed freezer bag) for longer term storage, otherwise in a similar sealed bag in the fridge. Speaking of Snus, off topic, did Snubie get his channel banned?

Also good to know about plastic containers. Will try a mason jar or something similar, eventually looking to get a small humidor.

Still waiting on my first order I hope it comes soon!  Hoping tomorrow or I’m kayaking across the Atlantic to knock on Toque’s door 😆

Seems to be (back) up now, have you tried again?  I noticed that Roderick is not always checking the forum and if you have an urgent issue you should probably email him?  I could be wrong though.

No worries, I post on a lot more acerbic forums than this (snuff isn’t acerbic is it? 🙂

The heets I’m finding I’m enjoying a lot less than I did before.  Didn’t even finish the carton (“smoked” 8/10 packs and there’s 18 per pack) before I resorted to the vape (got “””tobacco””” and melon menthol, they’re nice).  I’ve been doing a couple heets a day still, but the flavour just isn’t as good as I remembered.  Maybe I’m just sick of it.

Also, RE: my previous post.  Don’t make snuff from burnt heets lol.  There’s a lot of charred stuff in it, which has been sticking to the plastic snus can I put it in.  Only for the truly desperate.

I’d probably still be doing snus if it wasn’t for the gamble on customs duty.  I had pretty good luck with one vendor, then every package of up to 6 cans started getting duty applied.  I ordered from another one (snusme) and the first shipment came through in the clear, but the second one had a $100 duty on a $65 order (both CAD).  I hope my address isn’t flagged, or I haven’t angered a customs agent who is out to get me haha.  We’ll see what happens with the snuff order.

Don’t worry, I’m sure we’ll be respectful.  Say, I’d like a link to the FB group if it is more active. Even just the name so I can search it?

haha sorry.  It did get kinda long.

I just found out you can grind up used heets/heat sticks for some scuffsnuff (snuff that is scuffed or low quality).  Kind of a toasted flavour I’d say.  Obviously not the best stuff and a bunch of nicotine has already been “heated” but it is better than wasting the tobacco (not all of which is heated i think)heet sticks from japan article

Yeah all media is getting censored. I’m surprised they even allow you to discuss tobacco, pretty much all advertising is banned, and it’s a wonder people still find your site.  You can’t even make videos reviewing snuff on YouTube without being demonitized, I know there is at least one cigar channel which posts on alternative video sites like Odysee and Rumble.

Awesome, nice to see you’re still doing stuff.  I had a suggestion, perhaps instead of just having brands, you could also organize the snuffs into a “type” or “category” system

For example, you could show all the “toasted” snuffs, or “medicated” snuffs, or even stuff like a “beginner friendly” category.  This might be a bit of work, unless you could create a “tag” system where each snuff could be tagged, like Luz could be “plum” and “coffee” while another might be “toasted” for example.  Perhaps your search engine already looks in the description, I do see the Pfalzer’s Luz in a search for “coffee” for example.  Again, just a suggestion, it’s your site do what you like.

Love the site though, thanks for all you do.

I think I’ll do a brief history of my usage of nicotine

Cigarettes – first hated the taste and gave the pack I bough (and put in the freezer) to a friend who smoked, then stubbornly got myself addicted to the darn things.  Smoked them for a good decade perhaps more, starting from my early to mid 20s

American “chew”/”dip” – bought a tin in 2010 and hated it.  tried selling it on our version of craigslist *slightly used* and only got one laughing reply.  Later, had a dip while in the hospital and unable to smoke (they gave us inhalers and gum, they are awful) and another patient let me try one.  It was not that bad.  Recently, many years after buying the first, and several years after the dip in the hospital, tried some American chew again (Copenhagen) after being used to snus.  I have gone through a Straight, Long Cut, and “Snuff” type copenhagens and enjoyed them all, although the “snuff” was probably the most efficient.  Probably will buy another tin this month since I like it.

Vape: Got into it pretty late and not too into it, I have used a gas station type vape along with a STLTH pod system (pretty much like Juul in Canada).  I didn’t mind it, very nice flavours but I spoke with some people recently who noted how it is hard to regulate your usage, you can just sit and play computer games with your friends and vape constantly in between matches, while a cigarette (if you don’t smoke inside) requires you to get up, out of your chair, take a break (good for you), and ask your friends to wait a minute while you puff.  Will probably get another three pod package (I love Allo’s STHLTH compatible Pomegranate Menthol) since I earned some store credit, but not looking to use it that much.

Nicotine Replacement (NR) – garbage.  Easily the worst and least fun method of getting nicotine, but I suppose it’s meant to be like that.  I tried patches, gum, inhaler, nothing really helped me.  I even used $500 my health insurance covers for these products and didn’t get off the nicotine hype train.  Oh well.  The worst part is Canada has banned nicotine pouches (think snus but no tobacco) for some reason, so the only fun nicotine replacement type thing is banned.

Heat-Not-Burn/IQOS device: This also helped me stay off the smoking (although you inhale vapour), I got a device a few years ago and it was replaced towards the end of the year long warranty.  Am currently doing a carton (180 heat sticks) while I wait for my snuff order.  Kind of in a weird spot, not quite as cheap as vape (but comparable) and not as gross as cigarettes (can do indoors) but fairly expensive ($82.99+GST for 180 “heets”).  It’s right in the middle of the road, not my favourite but something I’ll do since I already invested in the heating device (which requires cleaning).

Snus:  This is what got me really thinking I could quit smoking and vaping and I haven’t been smoking regularly since I got on the snus train.  Ettan regular is great, and I like loose (various kinds) as well, but usually stick with pouches.  The thing that made me stop ordering was customs, they would turn a $60CAD order into $160 very quickly with the way they taxed it, so it was a gamble.  Sometimes they’d stuff it in my apartment mailbox, other times they just wanted a signature, other times they wanted a $100 bill for customs.  Still cheaper to pay customs on a good brand than to buy the only brand available in stores here, which is $27.  Talked to a friend from Sudan, apparently they have a similar product which is much stronger.

Snuff: Perhaps the final frontier for me and tobacco, got interested in it through doing research on the history of tobacco, which lead me to Toque, and hopefully it will not give me the customs issues of snus [since it’s not taxed in the UK (so it’s “lower value” for customs) in the UK like snus is in Sweden], while providing the nicotine.  I did get some pipe and cigar tobacco and ground it up with some salt+water which gave me a taste of it, but I can’t wait for my first order to arrive.  I got a pretty good variety of different kinds to find out what I like and don’t like, hopefully try them and order more.  Thanks Roderick.

I just got into snuff (first post btw) and ordered a few days ago, so I have a bit of a wait to Canada and potential customs shenanigans.

Currently I have made some homemade ghetto snuff (as I call it) which was mostly composed of pipe tobacco (some Scandinavian brand, boy it’s expensive $1/gram) and a bit of cigar tobacco that I had, but more recently the mix has shifted to more cigar tobacco as I rolled up and smoked (as cigarettes) much of the pipe tobacco until i ran out.  It’s not very good, and I don’t have a lot left, but it’s a start.

Looking forward to my order arriving and trying some real snuff.  I told a guy at a house party/concert about it and he said “oh yeah NOSEDARTS?  They’re harsh but it gets you messed up!” I don’t think he was aware of the history of snuff, but had used cigarette (aka “darts”) tobacco in his nose during high school when it he was unable to smoke.
