Do these have an intoxicating effect?

Hello Roderick.  My initial eagle contained Artisan Fireman’s,  I love the apricot scent. Also Otto Forest, which I find very refreshing. I guess I prefer oil based snuffs. Don’t misunderstand,  I’m also enjoying the Toque and SG tins. And my next eagle will include more Toque products, as well as more oil based snuffs. This is helping me smoke fewer cigars and pipes.

<p style=”text-align: left;”>I like Otto Forest.  The menthol isn’t as icy as McCrystal’s Original and Genuine.  And the pine scent is mild and pleasant. They compliment each other.

Jimmy: Toque already makes Ginger snuff. Maybe Roderick would consider adding some fizz like the Coke and Champagne to create a Ginger Ale variety.  I would buy it.  Wondering if I should place a big bomb order. Don’t know what to believe about the possible tariffs.

Nutella is a hazelnut and cocoa spread sold in the USA.  Aldi supermarkets sell their own version, ( if you have Aldi in UK). Or try Amazon.

I have some Celtic Talisman that is supposed to have a hazelnut scent. But I only smell the fruits.

I like the idea of apple pie with vanilla. Of course, there will also be cinnamon present.

    Samuel Gawith BLACK ARABICA:

I don’t get a taste of coffee at all. I do get that ammonia/manure smell. So, I’d say that I just taste tobacco.  Reminds me of Copenhagen moist dip snuff.

I don’t start a new thread unless that particular variety hasn’t been reviewed previously.

Nice mild cola flavor.  And a bit of fizzle in the nose. Good for a new user, so share with someone ! Might try to mix with a vanilla or cherry snuff.

    Just finished reading

“Stark Decency” ‘German Prisoners of War in a New England Village’

    by Allen V. Koop

The story of a POW camp holding German soldiers in Stark, New Hampshire USA.

I learned of the book on a Facebook group devoted to New England history. I am familiar with the story because I pass through the town in my travels.  There is a historical marker on the roadside at the camp’s location.

The book is heartwarming.  The Prisoners were treated well and formed friendships with the staff and local civilians.  Some of them returned in 1986 for a reunion.  Of the former POWs, 5 returned to become US citizens,  1 emigrated to Canada.

I really enjoy this. The menthol  is slight, it stays in the background . The apricot is predominant.  Very pleasant. I don’t sense bourbon or vanilla.  The apricot is long lasting,  is this because Fireman’s is oiled ?

    Hello Roderick,

I have $54 in my cart after discount. Shipping charge is coming up $15, not $5.99 . I don’t want to pull the trigger until this is sorted.

    Regards, Tony

Like you, I am new to snuff, and also smoke cigars and pipe.

    1. Start with the smallest container until you figure out what you like.

    2. Order snuffs that are similar to the pipe tobacco that you enjoy. Do you like aromatic,  English, Virginia , perique ?

I don’t know where you live. I’m close to New York.  I got my Eagle in 12 days from ship date.

I use Mason jars with screw type lids for my pipe tobacco. Might try jarring my snuffs of a similar flavor together, in the original tins.

I like the idea of a banner ad on Toque Snuff. And an email to customers telling them about the Forum. The only thing new that I can add is a place on the forum to post reviews.  Styled like tobaccoreviews.com for pipe smokers. Thousands of brands are listed, you post your review under that blend. Others curious about that blend can read the reviews for that specific blend.  Maybe just offer the discount to those who PARTICIPATE in the forum.

I am a pipe and cigar smoker. I don’t get much nicotine from either one. Been reduced smoking and using snuff more. Don’t get much nicotine from it either.  But I do have 10 varieties yet to try from the last eagle.
